The Broadway chair is effective in seating clients with the following postural and medical conditions:
- Pressure ulcers
- Joint contractures
- Post-operative rehabilitation needs
- Low muscle tone
Multiple configurations of back cushions enable correct postural support and comfort, with a removable seat cushion to upgrade from the standard visco-memory foam (med-high risk) to gel or air-cell cushions for pressure care.
Tilt in space can be used to improve posture and redistribute pressure with a high legrest elevation. The adjustable back recline will accommodate users with limited hip flexion and when used in combination with tilt in space it can prevent sliding from the chair. An adjustable footplate also provides foot support and sensory feedback for reassurance and comfort.
The Broadway chair is available in seat widths of: 16", 18", 20", 22"
Available with a manual action, fully motorised handset controlled, or part motorised, with an on-board battery pack. Large castors make it easy to move around the home.
The Broadway chair is also very effective for adults with the following disabilities and conditions:
- Cerebral palsy
- Spinal cord injury
- Head injury
- Multiple sclerosis
- Parkinson’s disease
- Motor neurone disease
- Alzheimer’s disease
